Google, one of the world’s best tech stocks, has achieved remarkable growth over the years, as reflected in its Q2 revenue and net income history.
Over the last 10 years, Google’s Q2 net income has grown by a healthy 475 percent from $3.2 billion to $18.4 billion. That includes 162.8 percent growth since 2020 when the company’s earnings took a hit due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Part of the company’s success can be attributed to Google’s acquisition of YouTube. Google acquired YouTube for $1.65 Billion back in October 2006.
In Q2 2023 alone, YouTube brought in $7.67 Billion of revenue from ads.
YouTube Shorts has also grown to more than 2 billion monthly active users, up 33.3 percent year-over-year, which should help keep ad revenue growing in the near future.
